Interested in joining the SSEA? Membership entitles you to:
- Be a part of a society which actively supports and promotes scholarly research on ancient Egypt
- the opportunity to interact with members of the local and international Egyptological community
- Receive the annual Journal of the Society for the Study of Egyptian Antiquities (JSSEA), a scholarly publication. Note: Associate members do not receive the JSSEA.
- Receive the SSEA Newsletter, usually published 3 times per year
- Notification of upcoming events sponsored by the SSEA, including our Toronto Lecture Series, Mini-Lecture Series and Summer Series, lectures for the Calgary Chapter, Vancouver Chapter and the Montreal Chapter, and the Annual SSEA Symposium and Scholars' Colloquium
- Reduced rates for the Annual Symposium and other paid events
- Free admission to special ticketed events (excluding the Annual Symposium), such as the Members' Lectures.
- The opportunity to attend and vote at the SSEA Annual General Meeting, to vote in the election for the SSEA Board of Trustees and to stand for election to the Board of Trustees.
- For members of Chapters, the opportunity to attend and vote at the Chapter Annual Meeting of Members, to vote in the election of, and to stand for election to, the Chapter Executive.

Associate Membership is only available to residents of British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario and Quebec. Associate members do not receive the Journal of the SSEA in paper or electronic format. Student Membership rates are only available upon presentation of proof of student status in the form of a scan or photocopy of valid student identification.
